Position: Medical Front Desk & Patient Services Coordinator

We are looking for a dependable, organized, and friendly individual to join our Bethel clinic as a Medical Front Desk & Patient Services Coordinator.
This position plays an important role in the day-to-day operation of our practice and serves as a primary point of communication between our patients, providers, insurance companies, and other medical offices.
We are looking for someone who is positive, professional, quick to learn, comfortable working with technology, and willing to take initiative in a busy clinical environment.
Responsibilities may include:

Answering incoming phone calls and recording accurate messages

Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments

Responding to patient communications
-
Serving as a primary communication link between the doctor and patients
-
Filing and organizing patient and office paperwork
-
Collecting payments and processing transactions
-
Communicating with insurance companies and other doctors’ offices
-
Assisting with health insurance and billing
-
Working within our electronic medical record and practice-management platform (OptiMantra)

Performing general front-office and administrative duties as needed
The Ideal Applicant is:

At least college age (18+)

Friendly, professional, and comfortable communicating with patients

Organized and attentive to detail

A quick learner

Dependable and hardworking

Comfortable managing multiple responsibilities

Confident using computers and learning new software
-
Able to communicate clearly by phone, email, and in person
Previous work experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person who demonstrates a strong work ethic, professionalism, and willingness to learn.
Technology Skills
Applicants should be comfortable working with multiple computer programs and digital platforms. Experience with programs such as the following is helpful:

Microsoft Word and Excel

Google Sheets

Printer scanning, printing, faxing

Microsoft applications

Electronic medical record or scheduling systems
Training & Employment Requirements
Applicants must be available Mondays and Wednesdays for training.
Upon hiring, the selected applicant will also be required to:

Complete HIPAA certification

Complete IT Security certification
-
Pass a background check
-
Pass required drug screening
