*Before your visit, please check with your insurer to determine if your policy covers naturopathic services. Some insurers have a "naturopathic exclusion" and do not reimburse for naturopathic services. In that case, you will be responsible for the out-of-pocket cost of the visit.

How much are out-of-pocket visits?

 

Uninsured or Naturopathic Exclusion:

New patient (60 minutes): $230

Return patient (30 minutes): $115

Medicare Patients*

New Medicare patients (60 minutes): $120

Return Medicare patients (30 minutes): $80

*We offer this discounted rate exclusively to Medicare patients. 

Do you treat patients with severe health problems?

 

Yes. We treat a vast amount of severe health issues, including Lyme disease, post-covid symptoms or long-covid, ulcerative colitis, lupus, chronic migraines, sleep disorders, seizures, arthritic conditions, anxiety, depression, and more.

Does you treat terminal or chronic illnesses?

​

Yes, we provide supportive treatments for patients with cancer, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, heart disease, etc. Feel free to ask how we can help your specific illness.

What will my first visit be like?

​

Your visit will consist of a combination of questions regarding your medical history, present symptoms, and physical exam. Then, a discussion about course of action and follow-up.

How long is an office visit?

​

New patients are seen for one hour and returning patients are typically seen for 30 minutes. 

​

My spouse and I have the same insurance. Can I just give their information if I'm unable to locate my card?

​

Spouses who have the same insurance will still have different insured ID numbers. You will need to provide your individual insurance card for our office's record keeping purposes.

Do you offer applied kinesiology testing (muscle testing)?​

​

Yes, when appropriate, muscle testing is a technique offered by Dr. Herman.

​

Do you perform annual physicals?

​

Yes. For back-to-school physicals, you will need to check with your child's school to find out if their requirements allow for licensed naturopathic doctors to perform their physical.

​

Are your doctors considered primary care physicians (PCPs)?

​

Although we are trained to function as PCPS, your health insurance will classify naturopathic doctors as specialists.

​

Do you perform routine gynecologic exams?​

​

Yes, Dr. Herman performs gynecologic exams. 

​

Do you prescribe CBD or marijuana products?

​

Our medicinary contains select full-spectrum hemp extract CBD. These products do not require a prescription by an MD. In addition to CBD, our doctors can also prescribe medical marijuana cards. 

​

Can I stop taking all my prescription medications after becoming a patient?

​

In some cases, we can help you gradually reduce the need for prescription medication. However, you should not stop taking any prescription medications you are currently taking.

Can you make referrals?​

​

Our doctors can refer you to physical therapists, medical doctors, and specialists.​
